Macro Flowers

This weekend the weather was really beautiful and I just wanted to be outside, so I chucked my Macro Lens on played around photographing so beautiful flowers.

All photos were taken with my 105mm Macro Lens and then edited in Lightroom. I am having way to much fun with Lightroom and seeing what it can do to my photos. Macro1

In the Lego Portrait studio today is Mr Wolf Man.

All Photos have been taken with my 105mm Macro Lens and then edited in Lightroom afterwards.

More Macro Madness with Lily

The other day when I taking some of the Lego portraits Miss Lily decided that even though she’s probably been photographed more than any other cat ever, she should be the centre of attention not some Lego man. She jumped up on the table and plonked herself down in front of me demanding to be photographed at one point she even started trying to lick the macro lens.

I though I should probably post s couple of the photos since she was so insistent on me taking them.

Portraits with a Lego Viking

For today’s Lego Portraits session I choose Lego Viking, Battle gear and all.

All Photos taken with my 105mm macro lens and then edited in Lightroom afterwards.

Macro Madness with Textures

I had so much fun taking Lego portraits last week with my Macro Lens that I decided to whip it out again today and shoot. I focused on taking macro pictures of ordinary objects around the house that had interesting textures, you’ve probably seen some of them before, it seems I am completely incapable of walking past bricks and not taking a picture so I’ll apologise now if your sick of them. Every time my Mum looks through my pics she always says “More bricks?” what can I say I like ‘em.

All photos were taken with my 105mm Macro lens and then edited in Lightroom to be black and white, I am loving the monochrome look at the moment.

Portraits with a Lego Cowgirl

In today’s Lego Portraits we have a very lovely Cowgirl.

Like Mr Business Man all portraits were taken with my Nikon Micro 105mm Macro lens, and all Portraits have been played with in Lightroom afterwards. Enjoy!

Portraits with a Lego Business Man

So lately I haven’t been feeling the greatest nothing serious just a cold and a few days laid up with a migraine. I haven’t really felt up to blogging or photographing anything and then today I woke up and felt well enough to dig out my Macro lens and play with Lego for a while.

I loved Lego as a kid my brother and I would tip all of ours on the floor, and (we had tons between to the two of us) go for broke spending hours building little cities or houses making up games, sometimes just trying to build a taller tower than the other, we always had lots of fun. When we were teenagers both of us gave all our Lego away coz you know we were grown ups now and grown ups don’t play with Lego.

Lego was pretty basic when I was playing with it the little people only had the one expression and you were doing pretty good if your Lego people were distinguishable between male and female. Now days though the people at Lego had gone all out and the Mini figures are simply mind blowing. I at 28 have become obsessed with Lego all over again, but just the people.

Today I decided I would take portraits of some of my Mini figures I only have a couple at the minute, but I had so much fun today I want more. I hope you enjoy them. All Photos were taken with my Nikon Micro 105mm Macro Lens. All photos were edited in Lightroom afterwards, I used several different filters and effects, today was really all about playing and having fun.

Textures

This weekend I have been using my Macro lens and photographing a lot of different textures. I love the little things that photography captures a tiny expression or a crinkle next to the eye when taking portraits and so using a macro lens and looking at the little things rather than the big picture is always fun.

I’ve been having a lot of fun wandering around trying to find interesting textural subjects for my pictures and i have some more still to put up. All the pictures were taken with my Nikon D300s and my 120mm Macro Lens Aperture was between F 5.6 – 11 depending on what I was shooting and the ISO as always was at 200.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, here is Australia it’s the Queen’s Birthday Long weekend so I’m looking forward to being able to take some more shots tomorrow.

See you then.
